Hunting Dog Free Assessment

Service Description

During the session, our Head Trainer, Morgan, will meet you and your dog to assess where your dog is truly at in their hunting development. With extensive experience in hunting dog training, Morgan will evaluate foundational skills and address common problem areas such as retrieving, steadiness, introduction to gunfire, exposure to wild game, and readiness for e-collar training. Based on your dog’s current level and your hunting goals, Morgan will set realistic expectations and recommend the most effective training route. What the Assessment Includes: - Discussion of your dog’s background, hunting experience, and current training - Evaluation of retrieving drive, focus, and responsiveness - Observation of behaviour, body language, and confidence levels - Assessment of readiness for advanced tools such as gunfire and e-collar conditioning - Identification of training gaps, patterns, and limiting factors - Immediate professional feedback and guidance What Happens Next: Following the assessment, we will recommend the best training path for your dog and Morgan will walk you through his observations and explain why certain methods or programs will be most effective for your dog’s development in the field. 📍 Assessments are conducted at our facility and by appointment only.
